A NOM compliance certificate is an official document issued by an accredited conformity assessment body (verification unit or accredited laboratory) certifying that an imported product meets all requirements of the applicable Mexican Official Standard. This document is a mandatory non-tariff regulation that must be presented at customs during clearance. Without it, merchandise cannot be released. Assessment bodies are accredited by EMA (Mexican Accreditation Entity).
