Check if the product's tariff code requires a prior permit from the Ministry of Economy.
Compile required documentation: invoice, specifications, justification, and importer letter.
Submit the prior permit application through the Digital Window (VUCEM).
The Ministry of Economy evaluates and issues a resolution within 15 to 20 business days.
Once granted, present the permit as part of the customs clearance documentation.
Inability to import the merchandise, customs detention, fines up to 100,000 UMA, customs administrative procedure (PAMA).
