The Ministry of Economy reviews every five years whether the conditions that originated countervailing duties persist. If unjustified, duties are removed; if persistent, they are maintained or adjusted.
Countervailing Duty
An additional duty levied on imported goods that are subject to dumping or foreign government subsidies, designed to protect domestic industry from unfair trade practices.
