A virtual customs declaration (pedimento virtual) is an electronic instrument allowing IMMEX companies to transfer merchandise between them without goods physically leaving the country. It functions as a virtual export followed by a virtual import between the parties, generating corresponding electronic customs declarations. This enables an IMMEX company manufacturing a component to virtually transfer it to another IMMEX company incorporating it in a final product, without physically exporting and importing.
