Brie cheese classifies under heading 0406.40 as soft cheese (blue-veined and other cheese containing veins produced by Penicillium). The duty is 45% IGI, one of the highest for food products. The Mexico-EU FTA (TLCUEM) can significantly reduce the tariff. Cold chain and strict sanitary permits are required.
