Chapter 53 covers flax, hemp, jute, sisal, abaca, ramie, and other vegetable textile fibers not classified elsewhere. It includes yarns and fabrics of these fibers. Mexico imports linen from Europe and jute from India and Bangladesh for sacks and packaging.
