Chapter 44 covers raw wood, sawn wood, plywood, particle boards (MDF, chipboard), frames, wood tools, and charcoal. Mexico imports large volumes of sawn pine, plywood, and MDF boards from the U.S., Chile, and Brazil. Tropical woods are regulated under CITES and SEMARNAT.
