Chapter 31 covers mineral or chemical fertilizers, whether nitrogenous, phosphatic, potassic, or compound. Mexico imports large volumes of urea, diammonium phosphate (DAP), ammonium sulfate, and NPK fertilizers. Mexican agriculture depends significantly on imported fertilizers, especially after reduced Pemex Fertilizantes production.
