Sugars and sugar confectionery

Chapter 17 covers cane or beet sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, glucose, fructose, artificial honey, caramel, and sugar confectionery without cocoa. Mexico has an important sugar industry but imports high-fructose corn syrup from the U.S. Sugars are subject to quotas and protectionist tariffs.
